Meet Tanya Nguyen, Founder and Owner

Our founder, Tanya Nguyen, was born and raised in Vietnam before coming to the United States in 1975 as a refugee. At the time, she spoke no English. Because of the challenges and struggles she faced through her decades in the beauty industry and learning the language, she understands the importance of strong mentorship and guidance. That’s why she started TNN Beauty Apprenticeship and TNN Beauty Salon & Barbershop to provide up and coming hair stylists, barbers, and cosmetologists with the support and guidance they need to succeed.

About Us

TNN Beauty Salon & Training Center operates in conjunction with her other two facilities, TNN Apprenticeship in Escondido, CA, and TNN Beauty Salon & Barbershop in Poway, CA. Our salon offers students of our Apprenticeship Programs the ability to offer their skills and expertise for willing clients. This on-the-job training model allows our stylists to grow and cultivate their skills under the supervision and guidance of their teachers, while also providing affordable services for our clientele.

Apprenticeship and Training Center

TNN Beauty Salon & Training Center offers students classroom and on-the-job training to help them on their journey to becoming licensed stylists, barbers, and cosmetologists. We developed an effective system that’s different from other barber colleges and beauty schools. Under our program, students receive an Apprentice License to work in a licensed establishment.

 

TNN Apprenticeship is the leading beauty institute in California. We offer students classroom and on-the job training, permitting students to unlock their potential in becoming a licensed Barber or Cosmetologist. We developed an efficient program through a system unlike other Barber colleges and Beauty schools. Students receive an Apprentice License to work in a licensed establishment, then have the opportunity to Earn-While-You-Learn. Apprentice hours are divided into (RSI) and (OJT).
